The Evolution Story
Evolution, established in 1995, is located in the heart of the Whistler Village in BC, Canada.
Evolution represents Whistler’s culture of Biking, Snow riding, Skateboarding, and Fashion.
In the winter we sell Snowboards and NarrowAssSnowboards (sold in pairs…) and stylin' related outerwear and accessories.
In the summer we rent and sell select quality bikes, parts and accessories and our excellent tech's service all types of bikes. Year round we stock a boutique selection of fashion from brands that often request to be in our store.
We offer opportunity to find clothes that are unique because we do not stock two of the same item
Evolution supports local artists, photographers, videographers and musicians with sales, and use of art, photos, DVD’s and CD’s.
Evolution is committed to quality service, products and style.

Picked up in 2006
Brad is an Evolution Team Rider
and can be found riding whenever possible in Pemberton. As soon as the trails were semi-clear late Feb, he was out digging the snow off the trails and riding almost every day. In the summers Brad runs his own landscaping business: Super Natural Landscaping.
Bruno
All-Round Bon Travail-er!
Bruno is one of the world's most rad dudes! He kills it at every sport he plays, with special excellence in BMXing, snowboarding, skiing and hockey.
Darcy
Darcy has been teching at Evolution since 1998!?
Darcy is a local legend. By winter he rules the smoothness of Whistler Mountain, and by summer he regularly rides back country routes that few other humans have explored.

Lauren
Lauren has been connected to Evolution since the beginning!
Lauren is the most fun person in the world! If you have the chance to dance with her you are having fun! Lauren is an amazing artist; as is the rest of her family: Lauren's mum, Kathy Long, drew the Evolution Dragon, Crane and Tiger; and her brother, Ian Ritz, Chromag BikesT drew our skull and the EVOLUTION script logo. If you need artwork, especially spray work, look Lauren up!
Kalina
Kalina stepped up Evolution's style in fall 2000.
Kalina is an Evolution Team Rider. She is one of Whistler's top female snowboarders and sledders-and be prepared to suffer if you challenge her in Tennis or Shotgunning! Kalina also has a diploma in Fashion Design.
Trevor
We lucked into Treasure Spring 2007
Trevor is a natural athlete. Summer spots were Trevor's specialty for many years -Mt Biking and Long Boarding; however, after his second summer in Whistler, he was convinced to check out the winter. He has been snowboarding with us all winter now and i think we have another Whistler lifer! Yay!

Andy
Andy has been Teching at Evolution since 2006.
Andy is a precise and passionate tech. Andy grew up in aus, but luck for us his mum is Canadian so we are on our third year with Andy in the tech shop. Andy's other main sport is racing big beautiful sail boats which is another technical sport. Andy also taught sailing and we had him teach a 4 session women's bike tech workshop in 2007 and his teaching skills are excellent! Thank you Andy!
Jake
Jenine has been workin Little Bro Jake for a few years now!
Jake grew up in Whistler and West Van and high schooled in Whis. Jake and his Whis loc buddies (BANC Crew) know the trees better than everyone else. Jake is a style setter. He also has a diploma in sound teching.
Sam
Sam is an all-round smarty! Evolution-er since spring 2007.
Sam is another UK-er that we are hoping becomes a full time Canadian. Sam is too smart to stay in the UK for too long! Sam is studying mechanical engineering in the winters and Teching and ITing at Evolution in the summers. Lucky us!
Will
Tech and all round friendly service dude since spring 2007.
Will is back from the high seas of Alaska for a second season at Evolution. The evo crew is stoked to have him back all in one piece, sane, and seemingly happier than before he left!? Or is it that we are so happy to have him back that it seems like Will is happier than before. Either way, we are stoked to have this excellent tech and excellent dude back in the shop with us for another season!
ELLY DOWNING
Evoltuion's new merchandizing master!
Elly joined the Evowution Crew in January 08. We have all been stoked as she has upped the level of fun, funk and efficiency at Evolution. Actually, she is making the rest of us look a bit slack! Elly is stoked on her new SX Trail!

EVOLUTION is always looking for new people to join our staff team. In order to qualify to apply you must have technical knowledge and experience in the mt bike, snowboard and skateboard industries (all three). You must also be passionate about these sports. A minimum of three years experience required. Interest in fashion and art and asset.
