The Deep Winter Photo Challenge brings you the best professional action sports photographers throwing down for 3 days to capture the life and culture of winter in Whistler. It will inspire and give you new found shred motivation for life in the mountains.

  • 1st: Zoya Lynch – $5,000 + Arc’teryx Jacket
  • 2nd: Nicolas Teichrob – $2,500 + Arc’teryx Jacket
  • 3rd: Jason Hummel – $1,000 + Arc’teryx Jacket
  • Best Individual Image – Nicolas Teichrob $1,000

Deep Summer Sideshow - Ian Hylands

"Pretty cool to be a part of the Deep Summer Photo Challenge at Crankworx. 6 Photographers had 3 days to shoot a team of riders of their choice and put together a 3-5 minute slideshow. Chris and I were asked to be a part of Ian Hylands team along with Mark Mathews, Brett Rheeder, Holly Feniak and Reece Wallace."

An amazing night showcasing off the "Awesomeness" of a typical January storm session shot in bounds and within mountain operating hours here on Whistler Blackcomb; Which is then compiled into a three- to five-minute slideshow.

Robin O'Neill's Slideshow took home the win for this year's Deep Winter 2012 Photo challenge with 2nd Place going out to Jussi Grznar and runner up Reuben Krabbe.
