Evolution, established in 1995, is located in the heart of the Whistler Village in BC, Canada. Evolution represents Whistler’s culture of Biking, Snow riding, Skateboarding, and Fashion.

In early September I had the chance to go to Retallack lodge to check out some of the work that their trail crew had put in to creating what should be a very bright future in the world of destination biking. Some of BC's best trail builders have converged on Rettal for example Riley Mcintosh and Joyrides own Paddykay (PK) these two along with many other have worked tirelessly to create some awesome trails. The 1st Loonie Race of the Season will be hosted by Evolution Whistler this Thursday, May 3rd.
The Apres will be assisted by TAG - providing a great Apres location and bonfire! Alpine Cafe, will be serving up delicious hearty food once again-yay!, and Pemberton Distillery's Schramm Vodka will be mixed into Schrammenade and Caesars, plus there will be Schramm Gin tasting!
The start will be at Baxter Creek (top of Rainbow between Alpine and Emerald).
NOTICE: The course will be somewhat difficult for the first race of the season and there will probably be snow to ride through. If you do not feel like riding the course, please join us for the apres!
TRAIL WORK: We invite anyone to come out and help us with snow shovelling and trail maintenance on Shit Happens and Big Kahuna between 10am and 2pm on Thursday!
We will leave it until the day of as the snow is melting on its own...

Throughout this winter season up in little Whistler we had many POW days, some glacier cold days, sunny days, rainy days, and overcast to a couple blizzard days. We started the season off with a crazy dump of snow late October, the snow kept on given'er to an early open on Nov 19th. From opening day to late Jan early Feb the snow was champagne pow pretty much ever day you strapped in to ride (pretty much heaven).
Best base we could ask for all season long. Mid Feb to April still the snow didn't stop, some overcast days in between but for the most part pow day after pow day. Late April the sun and rain started to join in, thinkin it was the time when the snow is starting to melt... But no, more snow! Until late May we had random snowfalls, keeping our base strong and feeling like the season would never end. Whistler Mountain closed on April.25th with a perfect conditions, full base plus more, and untracked runs (super sad to see).
Blackcomb closed on May 30th, with at least 2 1/2 metersof snow. Awesome season!
