Evolution, established in 1995, is located in the heart of the Whistler Village in BC, Canada. Evolution represents Whistler’s culture of Biking, Snow riding, Skateboarding, and Fashion.
The Village portion of Artwalk 2012 is hosting the opening reception from 6:30~9pm on Thursday July 5th. Bring your own mug/cup/wineglass and sip your way around the Village! (Many of the shops will have wine and beer by donation-bring your own beverage holder and cruise like an ArtWalk regular!
The "Walk" officialy starts at the TD at 6:30, but you can do your own route. Grab an ArtWalk map at Evolution, or one of the other shops involved.
Evolution is showing new work by Lauren Ritz.
Amongst the plethora of art in Evolution is an exhibition of Lauren Ritz’s art. Lauren’s exhibition is one of 49 exihibitions in Whistler ArtWalk 2011.
The opening reception for the Village venues which Evolution is a part of is on July 14th from 6:30-9:30pm. Evolution will be serving Schramm Vodka lemonade, aka Schrammenade, to the Artwalk Reception participants.

There is art on a lot of the clothing that we sell; the snowboards that we sell; the helmets and other accessories that we sell; and many of the bikes, bindings, boots and shoes are art to most beholders as well. Our floor, windows, change room and many walls are custom painted. We also have many paintings, photos, one of a kind painted belts, painted lanterns, and locally made feather earrings for sale.
When you are in Evolution be sure to look up, down and in all of the corners: there is art everywhere!

What an amazing week it has been at the 2011 TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival here in Whistler; And to top it off with the amount of epic snow fall it sure has been good!
Some of the highlights were the State of the Art Gallery, 72hr Filmmaker Showdown and the Big Air Session on the Saturday night.
The Filmmaker Showdown had Six film crews that were given 7 days to shoot and edit a 5-7 minute action-sports film. The guys from Voleurz took home the gold with this action-packed ski and snowboard segment.
Lauren as normal produced some fine work for State of The Art!
