Snowboard tricks are aerials or maneuvers performed on snowboards for fun, or in competitions. Most often, these maneuvers are performed on obstacles such as jumps, halfpipes, quarterpipes, hips, handrails, funboxes, or ledges, or on the surface of the snow. Many have their origins in precursory board sports such as skateboarding and surfing.

Since moving from Niigata, Japan to Whistler three years ago, Natsuki Sato has dominated most of the major events to hit B.C. This season alone Natsuki won her second consecutive You Look Good Rider’s Cup, the fourth stop of the Billabong Flaunt It series, the Roxy Chickadee Jam and the Red Bull Butter Cup at Whistler. She’s a regular fixture on slopestyle and rail jam podiums but definitely stands out in slope with big spins like her switch back 7. Even with a heavy competition schedule, Natsuki has found time to film for the all-girl Japanese snowboard movie “GiRL.” With yet another great season behind her, it won’t be long before Natsuki makes her mark on the international scene in women’s snowboarding.
