About us
Evolution is located in the centre of Whistler village, across from the Conference centre. Evolution has been at the heart of the Whistler riding community since 1995. Independent, local, rider owned and operated.We offer Whistler ideal, premium gear. And expert service and rental of snowboards and mountain bikes.
Evolution Whistler first opened July 1st 1995. The winter prior, an energetic 21 year old wrote the business plan and saved up some funds while working in Japan as a ski instructor (and travelling and racing snowboards). Returning to her home town, Whistler, Jenine secured a prime location in the village and has been having a great time running Evolution ever since. The shop is part of the local and worldwide bike community. Brandon Semenuk handed Jenine his resume at the age of 7 - they have been close friends ever since, and Jenine hooked him up with his first sponsorships back in the day!

We continue to LOVE supporting up and coming riders and community initiatives through our Evolution Team program. Evolution also partners with local MTB coaching camps Zep & WORCA to help build the local community of shredders.
Over 30 years later, Evolution is still evolving with the industry and technologies - but some things have stayed the same for Jenine & the Evolution Crew: commitment to the core values of a local shop, and providing quality service to whoever walks through the door.
