Evolution Whistler opened July 1st 1995. An energetic 21 year old wrote the business plan, saved up some funds working in Japan, secured a location in her favourite ski town and opened up a bike and snowboard shop. 23 years later we are definitely still Evolving with the industries and technologies - but one thing has stayed the same: the passion for riding mountains.
THE EVO CORE CREW:
At 21 years of age, Jenine wrote the business plan for a bike and snowboard shop. The business incorporated in April 95 and Evolution Whistler opened July 1st 1995. Whistler grows and changes, but the passion for snow and dirt remains.
We are stoked to have had James in the tech shop for many years. James has worked in many bike shops and even run his own bike service business - his extensive expereince is evident in in his pro style.
Our shop manager is part mountain machine. The number of days Trev rides his bike and snowboards each year is hard to wrap you head around. The number of days he rides his bike usually hits 350 each year and the number of days snowboarding is over 100. Just try and beat this guy up a climb on your 29er hardtail!!! Nope.
Lucky for us the gov let us convince them that this rad import from the south is someone we needed to have working at Evolution!! Racing DH and Enduro in the summer and asending mountains in order to decend them clad in pow in the winter, XTR is a fit Whistler Woman! Yay Whistler Women!!
Many of our excellent bike techs return year after year - plus a there are alwasys a few new addition each year. You will find the Evolution Bike Techs friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Please do not be offended if these rad dudes do not give you more that a few minutes of chat time though as they are super busy keeping the best bikes in Whistler rolling!
